One day to go before the makers workshops launch. Down to the little details...and those who know me..know, I like to address the nitty gritty. The studio will continue to evolve. Organically shaping as the workshops and our designs grow.
Here are the seeds.
As you come into the studio supplies for each maker are displayed. Aprons, to safety glasses, to these rugged tool bags, providing everything needed to complete your project.
Studio stools are stored on raised rests that have been welded onto each work table. The arm turns out to house both benches and when the stools are being used, they lift and slide off the rest and the steel bar pulls out and falls flat against the face of the table so it is not intrusive to the makers knees. This feature also makes moving the tables around on their casters much easier.
The open shelving is fitted with steel mesh bins containing supplies like sandpaper, measuring tapes and work gloves. The lower shelves house a collection of tools like belt sanders and jig saws.
The walls are used to store materials, while also adding visual interest to the studio space. Double duty.
The 2 large garage doors act has a big quote board. Giving words for thought.
2 big visual pin boards also line the walls and always have new inspirations added.
The studio has been set up to allow freedom to explore and discover, so you can tap into your creative muse and make something uniquely yours.
Ever wondered what the difference is between cement and concrete? Well, maybe not...but here at Studio50, concrete is an everyday thing. It’s not unusual to hear the two terms used interchangeably, but they are definitely two very different things.
