time flies

Fall is officially here, and with the cooler temperatures comes less daylight.  Fortunately, the makers accommodated an earlier start time so we could beat the clock for a bit of outdoor light needed for the spraying portion of the workshop.
Lots of customizing and creativity went into the making of these beautiful timeless pieces. Makers selected the number style and size,  the clock face dimension and orientation, colour of spray for the numbers, image transfers, option of rusting for an additional distressed look and horse nails for some extra bling. There are many steps in the clock making process and as always it was wonderful to observe the makers all apply themselves with such enthusiasm.
Life is busy, and there never seems to be enough time to do things that we would like to do.  Sometimes though,  you have to make the time.  Schedule it in for yourself,  to refuel your tank so you can motor along and appreciate the process and journey of  the everyday moments.  That is one of the reasons Steve and I love having the workshops.  To offer an outlet to discover. These makers also received a bit of refuelling from the tasters menu that presented some spicy and seasonal flare. A spicy nut and noodle soup, sushi, with some very hot wasabi that had many noses running! A warm creamy coconut rice pudding with a hint of pumpkin pie spice and freshly baked pumpkin loaf paired with a fresh cup of coffee.

Whatever you think you can do or believe you can do, begin it.  Action has magic, grace and power in it.
