We found these beautiful buds of goodness on our first visit to the Fall Handmade Marketheld at the 13th Street Winery in St.Catharines, Ontario. Made by Infusion an Organic Tea company located in Fort Erie, these teas like they're mantra says...Awakens your mind, body and soul.
Not only are they intriguing, but they are healthy.
Fountain of Youth Flowering Tea: Organic white tea with pink amaranth flower.
Tree of Life Flowering Tea: Green tea with chrysanthemum and amaranth flowers.
Instructions for making a vessel of Blooming tea is pretty simple. Drop in your tea bud of choice and bring your water to an almost boil. (water that is too hot is what makes green tea bitter). Pour the water into your vessel and over the bud and watch as the leaves unfurl into a beautiful bouquet of flowers and flavour. Bonus...After enjoying your first vessel of tea, the flowering tea can be re-steeped 2 more times!
To keep your teas hotter for even longer place the concrete base into the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
