Tis that time of year for creative ventures, and we are excited to get into the hustle and bustle of the season. There is a wide selection of artistic projects for young makers to experiment with and they will be rewarded with a handmade piece crafted with love, fun and flare that they can gift to someone or hold on to as a timeless keepsake for their own holiday collection.
Shown below are some of the workshops that are being offered. The project on the left taps into our inner architect! It's a 2 foot wall snowflake constructed from popsicle sticks in varying designs. Clockwise to the right is a very fuzzy, super cute pine cone owl ornament. Next we have a very solid 4x4 snow friend with many faces. And check out this classic wooden snowflake ornament made from old clothespins. Last, but certainly not least is the glass and wire snowman ornament.
As the workshops progress, we will be posting all the amazing masterpieces. We hope that they will feed your inspiration.
There are so many other ideas that we have floating around that we'll be enjoying on a smaller scale through the holiday season with our own crew here at studio50 . We'll be sure to share those also!
Once again we want to say a big thank-you to Kingswood products for donating the 4x4 pieces of wood for the snow friend workshop.
Thanks to the following sites for their inspiration for these makers workshops:
Ever wondered what the difference is between cement and concrete? Well, maybe not...but here at Studio50, concrete is an everyday thing. It’s not unusual to hear the two terms used interchangeably, but they are definitely two very different things.
