It was another great night and very busy as a group of makers crafted their very own book stands using pallet wood, leather, steel, chain and plexiglass.

I was thrilled that so many others wanted to create a pedestal to place in their kitchen for their beloved cookbooks! This design is versatile however and will welcome the new age hand held versions also. Paper book, playbook, ipad or even my phone which is the new blackberry Z10 will prop up nicely for displaying.

Plus, as a bonus feature when you wish the stand off your counter top the steel rod on the back will allow you to hang it on the wall to store and display.  Sweet! 

The makers worked the studio using a lot of tools for this workshop like the drill press, the hand drills, the air stapler (which they all rocked :) hand sanding, transferring their images onto the wood, sealing and they also got a demo on how we bent the plexiglass for the stand.

I forgot to take before and during pictures of the happenings, and I also forgot about taking pictures of the very colourful tasters menu :(  I'm gonna have to get something sorted for that...)

Regardless I did get pictures of the beautiful finished pieces!!!
